I've discovered Pinterest!
In case you don't know what that is, it's a place where you can post pictures that you like. You can repin pictures from other people's boards. So I've been spending a lot of time there, and some of my boards have Amazon links.
I've been reading blogs and some people are reporting an increase in Amazon earnings after putting links on Pinterest. While the rules say no self serving links, no one has yet been banned for putting links to their own sites and blogs.
You are allowed to put links to other people's websites, but not your own. But no one is checking.
And in true Internet marketing fashion, I've started two Pinterest accounts (just in case they cancel one)
Here they are:

Actually pretty smart to start two accounts.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand the main concern with Pinterest is people posting copyright pictures. I know myself when I have been there that I have seen several professionals photos on that site and I am pretty sure this is where the concern comes from. As such it is best to only repin, or pin, photos you are sure are not copyright. It may never amount to anything, but why take the risk.
As far as posting your own pictures - at least it is safer than getting sued for posting copyright pictures, I think if you add your own be sure to add some other people's too, so it is not too obvious you are only supporting yourself. Good blog - enjoyed.
